1. How to Set up your iOS device for Digital Signage
iPads are great for digital signage! They are much cheaper than commercial grade screens and can easily be picked up from your local department store. They come in a range of colors, sizes, and is incredibly convenient! It can be set up anywhere, carried around, and is familiar to all.
Currently, iOS devices are not the most reliable long-term performance devices for digital signage with ScreenCloud. That being said we only recommend iOS 9.2 or higher (preferably iOS 10 or later) and with 5 GB of storage space or higher (preferably 16 or 32 GB of storage)

1.1. Press and hold the device's power button until you see the Apple logo. You'll then see "Hello" in many languages.
1.2. Next slide up to get started. Select your WIFI and enter the password.
1.3. Now you can enable or disable location services.
1.4. Tap Set Up as a New iPad, Restore from iCloud Backup or Restore from iTunes Backup.
1.5. If you have an apple ID go ahead and sign in. If you don't, don't worry you can create one now. Note if you skip this step you can just create one later in the settings menu.
1.6. Next, you will be promoted to select agree to confirm you understand the Terms & Conditions.
1.7. Select if you would like to use iCloud services and click Next.
1.8. Select if you would like to use Find my iOS device services. If you lose your device you can use find my iPad to display the current location.
1.9. The final step, create a passcode to protect your iOS device.
2. Download ScreenCloud and Set up your Account
Learn how to use ScreenCloud with our full walkthrough article, follow step-by-step to get started on how to use ScreenCloud for digital signage. This will help you become comfortable with the setup process and the main features of using ScreenCloud.
2.1. Open your iOS device and locate the app store and download the ScreenCloud Player app for iOS.
2.2. Make sure your iOS device is connected to Wi-Fi for the most optimal performance. You may experience connection issues if using a mobile hotspot or data plan to run the ScreenCloud app.
2.4. Once you have your pairing code you’re ready to go, log in to your ScreenCloud account at https://studio.screencloud.com on your laptop or PC and sign up for a free trial. If you already have a ScreenCloud account you can log in now.
Once you’re in, you'll see the ability to add a new screen within the Screens panel.
2.5. Next, click 'Screens' in the left-hand navigation.
2.6. Select the 'New Screen' button located in the top right corner.
2.7. Enter the pairing code that you see on your screen, along with a name for your screen. You can also choose to add the screen to a group at this point if you want.
2.8. Once you do this, you'll see your new screen turn up in the list of screens.
You can now add and manage the content shown on this screen using your ScreenCloud account.
3. How to Configure Settings on an iOS Device for Optimal Digital Signage Use
To reset the pairing code
If you want to pair your iPhone with a different ScreenCloud account, or if you need to reset the pairing for any other reason:
3.1. Press and hold the screen on the iOS device for 2 seconds
3.2. A menu will pop up - click Force Show Pairing Screen to reset the pairing on the device. You'll be shown the pairing code (see step 4, above), and can now re-pair this device.
Configure your iPad
If you want to change the settings of your screen, for example, to change the name of your screen, or the screen orientation, simply press and hold down on your iPad screen and you’ll access the settings panel which looks like the below.
If you want to use your iPad to control your TV screen (still running ScreenCloud) you might want to use AirPlay Mirroring. AirPlay Mirroring allows you to clone the entire home screen on an iPhone and iPad to your TV screen. To set this up with ScreenCloud, simply start ScreenCloud on your iPad then turn on AirPlay mirroring.
