This article will go through which devices you can use with ScreenCloud.
Table of Contents:
1. To upload your content
You will need any modern browser - recent versions of Firefox or Chrome work best.
Google Chrome is a powerful, modern browser (you can get it here) - although we obviously support most browsers released in the last couple of years.
2. To play your content on the screens
We recommend the following:
Amazon Fire TV Stick
The Fire TV Stick offers great value for money, as well as offering a quick and easy setup. You can then download the ScreenCloud Player from the Amazon AppStore (Simply search for 'ScreenCloud' on your Fire TV).
Please visit https://screencloud.com/hardware to view our supported and recommended Fire TV devices.
Note: The Fire TV Stick Basic Edition is more of a "plug and play" device for streaming Netflix or something on Amazon Prime and not recommend for digital signage. If you have any questions about using a Basic Edition model if this is the only Fire TV device available in your region, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chromebook / Chromebox / Chromebit
The ScreenCloud Player is also available for any device running Chrome OS. Just download it from the Chrome Web Store.
If you're buying a new screen, Android TV makes a great choice with a built-in OS capable of running our Android Player. We support Sharp, Sony, and Phillips Android TV models.
Your desktop or laptop computer
If you have a computer with the Google Chrome web browser installed, you can just download the ScreenCloud player from the Chrome Web Store to get started.
