Hello and thank you for visiting our ScreenCloud Help Center. This article will go through how to tell the difference between an Amazon Fire TV Stick 1st and 2nd Generation, by looking at the physical body of the device.
You can quickly differentiate the two easily by looking at its remote control. The second generation Amazon Fire TV Stick remote is longer and equipped with a microphone allowing you to do voice search. The actual stick is also slightly larger than the first generation one.
- For more information about the differences in the specifications please check out Amazon website https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/help/id=201640900

Please Note: We recommend to not use the "Basic Edition" Firestick as this is not fully supported via ScreenCloud and also has limited RAM for content.
