Reset Code Issues While Resetting My ScreenCloud Password

This article will go through how to troubleshoot having issues with entering the password reset code received via email when using the "Forgot Password" function on ScreenCloud's website. You can follow these steps below to resolve access to your account.

1. Check if the code is being entered correctly

Double-check your password reset email to see if the code that has been sent to your inbox automatically is entered correctly.

Please note that when you use the "Forgot Password" function, the reset code will expire after a 24-hour period for security purposes. If you haven't been able to use the code or reset your password within this timeframe, you can simply use the "Forgot Password" function again to generate a new code to access via email. 3. Use an alternate browser or check your form auto-fill settings

Browsers capture form data for websites you've stored login data for. For example, if you're using Google Chrome and have signed into ScreenCloud, your browser may ask you if you'd like to store and auto-fill the login form automatically anytime you visit the website. While a convenient feature of modern-day web browsers which eliminates having to re-enter login form credentials and information each time we visit a website, occasionally this can pose a challenge as forms may be filled in with data in the wrong spots.

A common example is while using the password reset code. Once you select the link to follow from your email to verify the password reset, web browsers may fill in the "Reset Code" area automatically with alternative text automatically (i.e. an email address, a name, etc) based on stored information the browser has captured on how you enter data into websites you visit daily. In the screenshot displayed below, you can see that the "Your Reset Code" area has been auto-filled with a password.


You can simply highlight and delete the text that appears here automatically to reveal the area where you can enter the reset code.
