In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set up and use ScreenCloud’s digital signage software using a macOS device.
Table of Contents:
1. How to use a macOS device as a screen
1.1. Download the ScreenCloud Player app for macOS
1.2. Launch the app
1.3. Make a note of the pairing code - this is the code you need to enter into your "Screens" section of your ScreenCloud account.
2. How to open the app's settings
2.1. Click anywhere on the the app to open the settings sidebar (it will slide in from the right).
2.2. Right click on the app and select Toggle Setting Menu.
3. How to reset the pairing code
If you want to pair your macOS device with a different ScreenCloud account, or if you need to reset the pairing for any other reason:
3.1. Open the settings sidebar and select RESET PAIRING.
3.2. This will reset the player pairing and give you a new code to pair with.
4. How to toggle view from full-screen to a smaller screen
Right click on the player and select Toggle Fullscreen. This will switch the app from windowed mode to fullscreen mode and vice versa.
5. How to close the app
Simply exiting the app by clicking the close button on the top right corner won't keep the app closed due to the app's 'resurrection' feature, as the app will just continue to relaunch. This setting is to ensure that the app re-opens after crashes or 'accidental' closes
There are two ways to close the app:
5.1 Open the settings sidebar and then select EXIT PLAYER.
5.2 Right click on the app and select Close.
