ScreenCloud runs on most consumer hardware, delivering a convenient and flexible solution to display digital signage. We support a handful of general media dongle devices, Android televisions, tablets, and more. Please visit https://screencloud.com/hardware to review our supported devices and select which one suits your needs.

If you have any questions directly on supporting hardware or do not see your device listed here, please reach out to support@screencloud.com so we can help verify if your device can work with ScreenCloud digital signage.

2. Download the ScreenCloud app on your device

2.1. Once you have purchased your hardware, you can download the ScreenCloud app directly on the device. You can click here to view instructions for your device and how to download the ScreenCloud player to your respective device.

You can also use your Android phone or iOS device to test out using ScreenCloud or download a native Windows OS or macOS ScreenCloud app from here

2.2. After downloading the ScreenCloud app on your device, open the app to view the unique pairing code you will use to add this screen into your account at https://signage.screen.cloud/screens

After downloading the ScreenCloud app on your device, the next step is to add a screen and use the pairing code on your screen.

3.1. Click on "Screens" in the left-hand navigation of your ScreenCloud account.

3.2. Once you're inside, hit the "Add Screen" button:

3.3. Enter the screen pairing code that is on your television screen while viewing the ScreenCloud app, along with a name for your screen:

4. Upload your content and add apps

After adding your screen, get started with using ScreenCloud.

i) Upload local content

4.1. Start by uploading your content. In the right-hand sidebar, you'll see the content tab.  repository. Head over there, then hit upload:

You can upload files from your computer, or connect with Facebook, Dropbox, Google Drive, Flickr, or any number of other services.

4.2. After you upload your content, it may be helpful to give the content a human-friendly name, so you can easily find the content you need. To change the name on content, simply click on the name, and enter the new name.

Select your web pages

You can show dynamic web content - for example, a YouTube video, a website, a dashboard, or anything else you'd like.

  • To add a web URL, press the "Add Site" button:

  • Then fill in the URL for the site/page you want to show on your screens. In this case, I want to show the ScreenCloud homepage:

ii) Add apps

ScreenCloud offers diverse options for 70+ apps you can use, from social media, business integrations, communication, and more.

4.3. You can browse through our apps by visiting https://signage.screen.cloud/app-store, navigating to any app from our store, and clicking on "Add This App" to set it up for digital signage.

Most apps come included with an app guide or video which walks you through step-by-step how to set it up. You can also create custom themes to brand many apps, learn more about our "App Theme Editor" by clicking here.

5. Create playlists

Next, you can create a playlist to add pieces of content too.

i) Build your playlist

5.1. In the left-hand menu, press 'Create new playlist', or start editing a playlist that's already there:

5.2. Next, give your playlist a name by clicking on the name, and typing in a name:

You can also choose the color of your playlist if you want, by pressing the 'playlist color' button. You can use different colors to help organize your playlists, or just add some personality to your playlists.

ii) Populate the playlist

5.3. Drag and drop the content or app from the right-hand content list to the playlist.

5.4. If you want to re-order the things in your playlist, simply grab it and drag it up or down.

You have successfully created your playlist.

6. Create schedules

You have the option to also create a schedule to set specific days/times that you want your playlists to run. The schedules will only run from Monday - Sunday for the current week. There is not a way to schedule beyond a week, though this is a feature our team is working on developing for the near future. In the meantime, you can create multiple schedules to use in advance for weeks that are upcoming.

6.1. Hit the Create New Schedule button, and then click on the name above the schedule to give it a name:

6.2. To create a schedule block offtime, click and hold the mouse button on the schedule, where you want the scheduled playlist to start, say 8 am on Monday. Drag the mouse until the end point of your schedule, let's say 4 pm:

6.3. Now hit the little + button, and you'll be able to pick the playlist you want to assign to this schedule block:

6.4. Here, you'll also be able to fine-adjust the playlist that's playing. Hit save, and you'll see that your playlist has been scheduled in:

Please note: The schedules you create will automatically run on a recurring basis. For example, if you create a schedule for Monday's, this schedule will run every Monday moving forward if set to a screen. Though, you can interchange or update the content in a playlist on anytime that is set to run on a schedule, or change the timing of your schedules created as well.

7. Assign content to your screens

The final step is to assign content to your screens. You can assign a piece of a single content, a playlist, or a schedule you've created.

7.1. Visit your "Screens" in your ScreenCloud account.

7.2. Click on the screen you want to assign content to.

7.3. Click where it says "Nothing Playing" to open the "Choose what to play" window.
